Heading in the right direction!
Team Singapore medal tally hits 20!
Outstanding performances was the order of the day from our para-athletes. Various podium finishes added to the total medal tally to bring it up to 20. Strong and committed performances in Bowling, Boccia, Swimming and Chess sent a strong message to our rivals.
Muhammad Diroy Bin Noordin was a fine example of what it meant to be a Team Singapore athlete as he did not let the inclement weather get the better of him and ensured that he secured Silver in the Men’s Javelin Throw(600g) F40/41 event.
It was double joy for Singapore as para-swimmers Danielle Moi and Zi Ling Chew Andrea who clinch a first and third finish respectively in the 200m Freestyle S14. It was even sweeter for Danielle as she clinched her first Gold medal of the ASEAN Para Games!
With Team Singapore just getting into gear, it would definitely be an exciting day 4 tomorrow!
